“The park surrounding Drottningholm Palace is part of the Drottningholm World Heritage Site, and it’s easy to see why. Here, you can discover Hedvig Eleonora’s Baroque garden, Lovisa Ulrika and Gustav III’s English park, and an intimate 18th-century garden at the Chinese Pavilion. Enjoy a guided tour of the 18th-century court theatre at Drottningholm Palace, built in 1766 for Queen Lovisa Ulrika by architect Carl Fredrik Adelcrantz. It is one of the few historic theatres still performing with its original Baroque stage machinery, giving audiences a rare, authentic 1700s experience during the summer season. The theatre is part of the Royal Domain of Drottningholm, inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1991. After lying dormant for decades, it was rediscovered and restored in the early 1920s under theatre historian Agne Beijer.

After the tour, make sure to check out the gift shop or take another short stroll around the grounds before the bus departure.

Look for the same minivan in the parking lot outside the Theater. The driver will hold the same sign saying “Partner Program: EWPA -Congress 2025 STHLM”.
