We look back with warm memories on the EWPA Congress 2025 in Stockholm — a truly memorable event that brought together delegates, partners, speakers, and friends from across Europe.
A Successful Congress
The congress offered a rich and engaging program with inspiring presentations, insightful discussions, and excellent networking opportunities. A special thanks to all contributors and speakers for sharing their expertise, and to the hotel and the beautiful venue at Gamla Riksarkivet for their hospitality, great food, and atmosphere.
We will long remember the evening party and entertainment, including the unforgettable performances from our singing contenders — thank you for your enthusiasm and generosity!

General Assembly News
During the General Assembly, members adopted new Statutes and Domestic Regulations.
We are pleased to announce that Gilbert Leyens was elected as the new Chairman of EWPA, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to Erik Karlsson for his dedicated leadership and valuable contributions over the years.
Additionally, Benjamin Corbat and Miguel Palminha were elected as voting members of the Executive Committee.
The General Assembly also awarded Honorary Membership for Life to Tommy Karlson, Patrick Corbat, and Antonio Jobbé Duval — a recognition granted to individuals for their outstanding contributions to EWPA and the wood protection sector.
